Aura (played by filmmaker Lena Dunham) returns home to her family’s Tribeca apartment armed with a broken heart, a questionable college degree (in film theory), and a dying hamster. Time to reassess and re-evaluate, and Dunham’s terrific debut feature Tiny Furniture follows Aura's progress as she trails through hip downtown haunts, the latest Brooklyn galleries, and ill-advised romantic flings. Few films have captured the zeitgeist more effectively, or more wittily. Thanks to IFC Pictures for making this screening possible.
