To salute the 75th anniversary of the New York Film Critics Circle, New Directors/New Films looks back at several of its premieres that went on to success and acclaim from the nation’s first and most prestigious film critics organization.
Each film won the NYFCC’s Best New Director Prize and will be introduced by a current member. Says 2009 NYFCC Chairman Armond White: “These films prove how the New Directors series introduces important developments in film culture. They are choices the Critics Circle heartily endorses.”
